Britney Ever After (TRAILER) – It’s (Not) Britney B***h by Howard Rudnick
The executives over at Lifetime the past year have been looking for a way to shock their audience, stay relevant aside from awful movie of the week, and stay true to their nature of horribly offending the living.
Britney Ever After - Airing on Lifetime February 18th, 2017 @ 8pm EST
Their latest "unauthorized biography" film is titled Britney Ever After focused on the life of America's true Queen of Pop, Britney Spears. Of course when the project was announced and Spears found out, she did not give her blessing. To be honest, I don't think that was ever going to happen. There is a higher chance at her acknowledging the incredible 2007 album Blackout faster than her blessing this so called "film."
The trailer opens up with a very lowly lit shots of the actress Natasha Bassett (who has NO relation to the great Angela Bassett) writhing around on stage as the reigning Queen of Pop. The trailer does a fantastic job of never once truly revealing a full look at the actress as Spears until we her at her wedding to ex-husband Kevin Federline. Boy is that a sore subject for fans of Britney.
Of course the rest of the trailer shows how Britney lived her life during the tumultuous years, including the infamous head shaving incident and subsequent attack on the paparrazzi with an umbrella.
Remember that if Britney can survive 2007, America can survive a Trump Presidency.
There is on point in the film where they show the actress portraying Britney in a closed small room, maybe a bath room with smoke coming out of her mouth/nose and by the looks of it, they may be alluding to it not being cigarrettes.
This film is going to be both a train wreck, as well as a gift from the Gods because any attempt at making a biopic while the subject is living and airing on the Lifetime Network is bound to provide horror and entertainment.
